Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant based in Nigeria to join our remote team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and experienced in managing company accounts, financial statements, taxes, and financial compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Handle company taxation and regulatory filings (e.g., FIRS, state taxes)
- Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting, financial planning, and audits
- Provide regular financial updates to the management team
- Suggest and implement improvements in accounting processes
Requirements:
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and accounting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a stable internet connection and a laptop
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working remotely
- Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
- Experience handling U.S.-based financial tasks (a plus but not mandatory)
