Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Copy Editor (Contract – Remote) to join our editorial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for editing and proofreading scientific manuscripts, ensuring grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to our publishing standards. This role involves collaborating with authors and the editorial board to refine content for publication in high-quality academic journals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manuscript production and copy editing of scientific and academic texts.
- Ensure all manuscripts meet grammatical, stylistic, and formatting requirements.
- Collaborate with authors to improve clarity, flow, and overall quality of writing.
- Maintain consistency with journal editorial guidelines and publishing ethics. Verify accuracy of references, citations, and research terminology.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field (preferred).
- Fluent or native-level English proficiency.
- Strong background in academic research and scholarly publishing .
- Exceptional skills in grammar, text editing, and proofreading.
- Proven experience in editorial processes and manuscript preparation.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects. Prior experience with academic publishing workflows is an asset.
