Position Overview
The Community Engagement Officer is the primary advocate for creating exceptional guest experiences and fostering meaningful relationships with stakeholders. This position oversees both in-person and digital engagement, ensuring the museum remains visible, accessible, and deeply connected to its community. The role includes managing social media platforms, coordinating stakeholder communications, and enhancing the museum’s presence across all visibility channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance guest experience by fostering a welcoming environment and addressing visitor needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including parents, schools, donors, and community partners.
- Manage the museum’s social media platforms and coordinate digital and print marketing efforts.
- Organize and support public-facing events to strengthen community ties.
- Track engagement metrics and prepare reports to inform strategies.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- Experience in customer service, community engagement, or social media management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building relationships.
- Proficiency with social media tools and analytics platforms.
- Creativity, organization, and a passion for engaging diverse communities.
