Job Objective/Summary:
- To actively drive KHL’s commercial growth by prospecting, qualifying, and converting mid-tier accounts across assigned modes and sectors(e.g., sea FCL/LCL, air freight, warehousing, domestic transport). The BDE executes targeted outreach, nurtures client relationships, andcloses profitable deals that contribute to import/export revenue targets, ensuring every engagement supports KHL’s overall growth and margingoals.
Core Responsibilities Activities:
- Execute 60–120 targeted outreach actions weekly (calls, LinkedIn, emails, events).
- Prospect overseas buyers for exports, especially in telecoms, infrastructure, and agro-commodities.
- Build a consistent pipeline of qualified leads by mode/sector.
- Conduct presentations, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts with mid-tier clients.
- Support Heads of BD in closing anchor accounts by building groundwork at prospecting stage.
- Achieve assigned monthly TEU/tonnage contribution targets.
- Manage onboarding of new mid-tier clients.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities in warehousing, domestic haulage, and customs clearance.
- Align with Operations, Finance, and Customs before deal closure.
- Ensure GP floors (≥20% blended; ≥25% fortelecoms/infrastructure) are maintained.
- Maintain 100% CRM updates within 24 hours.●Submit accurate pipeline reports weekly, with forecast accuracy±10%.
- Maintain a weighted pipeline ≥3× quarterly GP target.
Job Qualification Matrix (Education, Knowledge, Skills, e.t.c)
- HND/Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain, or related field.
- Relevant Experience : 3–5 years’ proven BD/sales experience in logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office
Knowledge and Skills :
- Strong track record in prospecting, pipeline management, and closing mid-tier accounts.
- Prospecting & lead generation.
- Negotiation and deal closing.
