Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Bookstore Assistant located in Lagos. The Bookstore Assistant will be responsible for assisting customers in finding books, maintaining an organized and tidy store, processing transactions at the checkout counter, managing inventory, restocking shelves, and handling customer inquiries. Additional duties include participating in promotional events and helping to create a welcoming environment for all customers.
Qualifications
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems and inventory management
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic literary knowledge and a passion for books
- Prior experience in retail or a bookstore setting is a plus
- BSC certificate is required. Proximity to the Island will be considered.
