Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join our growing team. This is a full-time hybrid role designed for an individual with strong analytical skills, excellent research capabilities, and a demonstrated interest in business development. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Programs to support internal and external research activities, lead data analysis, contribute to proposal and grant development, and assist in formulating strategies for new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
Research & Data Analysis:
- Support design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research assignments.
- Perform data cleaning, analysis, and synthesis to generate actionable insights.
- Prepare literature reviews, technical briefs, and evidence summaries to inform programs and proposals.
Business Development:
- Support to track funding opportunities across sectors relevant to Finom's work.
- Continuously conduct market and donor landscape analysis.
- Contribute to the development of concept notes, proposals, and pitches.
- Draft business development strategies and implementation plans.
Operational & Strategic Support:
- Assist the Director of Programs in developing work plans, timelines, and progress tracking tools.
- Participate in internal brainstorming, proposal review, and bid preparation meetings. Support preparation of reports, decks, and dashboards for internal and client-facing use.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience in data interpretation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to structure complex information into clear insights and arguments.
- Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
- Prior experience or strong interest in business development, strategy, or consulting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., STATA, R, Power BI, Machine learning) is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, statistics, social sciences, public health, or business); advanced degrees or certifications are an advantage.
