Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Monitor and manage company cash flow and budget to optimize financial performance.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Support management with financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting laws, practices, and industry trends. Provide guidance and financial insights to other departments to improve efficiency and profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Odoo, or SAP) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
