Job Positio: Account Officer
Job Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Record and process daily financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, payments, and general ledger entries.
- Assist in preparing monthly bank reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date records of accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support inventory accounting by reconciling stock records and liaising with the production and warehouse teams.
- Monitor and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Participate in periodic audits and stock-taking exercises.
- Ensure proper filing and archiving of accounting documents for compliance and audit purposes.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes as directed.
- Assist in payroll processing and statutory deductions such as VAT, PAYE, and WHT.
Job Requirements
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in an accounting/finance role. Experience in a logistics company will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems).
- Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Remuneration
N200,000 - N300,000 / Month.
