About Us

Our client is a, rapidly growing Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Engineering company based in Gbagada, Lagos , delivering cutting-edge infrastructure and building services across Nigeria. As they scale new heights, they’re looking for a passionate and reliable Account Officer to join their finance team and play a crucial role in keeping our operations smart, compliant, and financially sound.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include, but not be limited to:

• Issuing invoices and receipts for client transactions
• Keeping accounting and administrative source documents secure and well-organized
• Processing payments to vendors and suppliers, including managing contracts and details
• Carrying out month-end bank reconciliations
• Managing and reconciling customer and vendor accounts
• Issuing debit and credit notes where necessary
• Maintaining fixed asset registers and project cost accounts
• Tracking inventory and expenses for various projects
• Liaising with external consultants, tax advisors, and auditors for compliance and statutory requirements
• Supporting the CEO on finance-related issues
• Collaborating with our external accountant to prepare management accounts and financial reports
  

What We’re Looking For

• A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of practical accounting experience , preferably in a structured environment
• ICAN student membership is a strong advantage
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
