Job Description
- Maintain up-to-date billing system of all regions and Lagos
- Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
- Perform account reconciliations of all regions and Lagos office
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities across the regions and Lagos respectively.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Generate age analysis
- Review AR aging to ensure compliance
- Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
- Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc
- Prepare bank deposits analysis.
- Investigate and resolve customer queries
- Process adjustment customer’s ledgers if any.
- Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts by working with the customer relations and marketers in the organization.
- Assist with weekly, month-end closing
- Collect data and prepare monthly metrics.
Qualifications for Accounts Payable
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance and business administration
- 4-5 years’ experience in the same position
- Proven knowledge in Tax Management and compliance
- Proven knowledge of accounting industry-leading accounting software
- Comfortable with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Functional knowledge of database and spreadsheet tools, such as MySQL and Excel
- Ability to work either independently or collaboratively as needed
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Distinctly self-motivated and cable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
- 2-3 years of accounts receivable or accounting experience
- QuickBooks and Tally experience a plus
- ATS or ICAN stages in professionals.
