Job Description

We are looking for a WordPress Developer Trainee with hands-on experience in building websites using Divi. This position is ideal for recent graduates who are awaiting NYSC placement and are eager to apply their skills in a professional setting. You will gain valuable experience working on real projects while fulfilling your national service requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and customize websites using the Divi theme and Divi Builder
• Create responsive layouts using Divi’s visual builder and custom CSS
• Use Divi child themes to manage and preserve customizations
• Write custom CSS and JavaScript to enhance design and interactivity
• Optimize websites for speed, mobile responsiveness, and SEO
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand and meet project requirements
Provide regular website updates, maintenance, and support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field
• Recent graduate awaiting NYSC placement and available for the full service year
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience building websites with Divi and WordPress
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and understanding of WordPress core
• Familiarity with Divi's visual builder, Advanced tab, custom CSS, and code modules
• Good understanding of responsive design principles and UI/UX best practices
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot layout or performance issues
Familiarity with WordPress functions, custom post types, hooks, and filters

Nice to Have

• Experience with other page builders like Elementor, Gutenberg, or Visual Composer
• Knowledge of WooCommerce integration with Divi for e-commerce functionality
• Portfolio showcasing previous Divi-based website projects
• Basic understanding of SEO and web performance optimization
• Familiarity with Git or other version control tools
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical work to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
