Key Responsibilities:
1. Greeting and Seating Guests
- Politely welcoming customers as they arrive.
- Guiding them to their tables and presenting menus.
2. Taking Orders
- Explaining menu items, specials, and answering questions.
- Taking accurate food and drink orders.
- Communicating orders clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
3. Serving Food and Beverages
- Promptly serving meals and drinks.
- Checking back with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Refilling drinks and offering additional items when appropriate.
4. Customer Service
- Providing attentive, friendly, and professional service.
- Handling complaints or concerns promptly and politely.
- Ensuring guests have a positive dining experience.
5. Billing and Payments
- Preparing and presenting bills/checks.
- Processing payments via cash, credit/debit cards, or other methods.
- Giving change and receipts when needed.
6. Cleaning and Resetting Tables
- Clearing used dishes and cutlery.
- Wiping tables and setting them for the next guests.
7. Maintaining Cleanliness
- Keeping the dining area, service stations, and menus clean.
- Following hygiene and safety standards.
8. Teamwork and Communication
- Cooperating with kitchen staff, hosts, and other waitstaff.
- Reporting issues to supervisors when necessary.
9. Upselling

Qualification:
1. Education
- Minimum:
- High School Certificate (e.g., WAEC, NECO, or equivalent).
- Preferred (but not mandatory):
- Certificate or diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Service, or Hotel & Catering Management is a plus.
2. Work Experience
- Entry-Level Positions:
- No formal experience required; on-the-job training is usually provided.
- Experienced Roles:
- 6 months to 1 year of prior experience in customer service or a restaurant setting is often preferred.
3. Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
- Basic numeracy skills (for handling orders and payments).
- Good personal hygiene and neat appearance.
- Teamwork and attention to detail.
