Position: Video Editor Intern

Location: Fully Remote

Duration: 3 Months, Part-Time (Unpaid)

Job Description:

The Video Editor Intern will support Your Favorite Location in creating high-quality video content for platforms like YouTube and Instagram. The ideal candidate will assist a small creative team in editing engaging travel content that captivates audiences, tells a compelling story, and drives engagement. Upon completion of the internship, interns may be offered a part or full-time position as an employee and/or stakeholder of the company based on their interests and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Edit video content for YouTube and Instagram.
• Trim footage segments, add transitions and sound effects to enhance storytelling.
• Create visually appealing and shareable video content optimized for each platform's unique style and format.
• Work with the team to produce video teasers, highlights, and promotional clips for marketing purposes.
• Stay up-to-date on video editing trends, platform algorithms, and audience preferences.
Ensure brand guidelines are followed in all visual content.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut.
• Strong understanding of video formats and social media best practices for video.
• Creative eye for storytelling, pacing, and transitions.
• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form video platforms.
• Ability to work independently, take feedback, and deliver on deadlines.
• Passion for travel, storytelling, and visual content creation.
Knowledge of motion graphics and animation (preferred but not required).
