We are a frontline Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) delivering affordable and quality healthcare across Nigeria. We're seeking an experienced and data-driven professional to join our underwriting team and support smarter risk decisions through analytics. Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain dynamic underwriting dashboards and scorecards
- Analyze claims, premiums, and risk data to identify trends and anomalies
- Provide insights to support risk pricing, underwriting strategy, and loss reduction
- Collaborate across sales, claims, IT, and actuarial teams for data-driven decision-making
- Recommend improvements in high-risk portfolios or underperforming segments
- Support integration of automation and predictive analytics into underwriting processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, or other related quantitative fields
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in data analytics, ideally in health/life insurance or financial services
- Deep understanding of underwriting, risk assessment, and insurance data models
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau; experience in Python or R is a plus
