Fieldbase is looking for a sharp, curious, and highly motivated Trainee Accountant to work under the guidance of our Senior Accountant as we scale our operations across Nigeria and Africa.

What You’ll Learn and Do

• As a Trainee Accountant, you’ll provide support across the finance function while receiving hands-on mentoring. Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with bookkeeping and account reconciliations
• Supporting billing operations for subscription-based services
• Helping maintain inventory records and documentation
• Assisting in preparing monthly management reports
• Supporting tax filings (VAT, PAYE, WHT) under supervision
• Participating in internal control checks and process improvements
• Assisting with payroll preparation and benefits administration
• Working on Zoho, Xero, and other accounting systems
Learning how to support internal and external audits

Who You Are

• A recent graduate or entry-level candidate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Actively pursuing ICAN or ACCA (or planning to begin)
• Strong attention to detail and numeracy
• Eager to learn and take initiative
• Organised and willing to work in a structured, process-driven environment
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Exposure to any accounting software (Zoho, Xero, QuickBooks) is a plus
Based in Lagos and able to work from the office part of the week
