Role Overview
As Chief Investment Officer (CIO), you’ll be a strategic partner driving Afriquanna’s fundraising and investor relations. This part-time role suits a seasoned investment professional or well-connected entrepreneur who can:
Lead the fundraising strategy targeting top-tier VCs, strategic investors, angels, and family offices focused on frontier tech and emerging markets.
Leverage your network to open doors to investors aligned with our vision and tech edge.
Collaborate with founders on pitch refinement, financial modeling, and investor communications.
Negotiate deal terms that align growth capital needs with long-term shareholder value.
Advise on capital deployment to fuel product development and market expansion.
Represent Afriquanna in key investor forums, building credibility and momentum.
Compensation & Ownership
Equity: Earn 1% ownership vested over 4 years with a 1-year cliff, aligning your success with ours.
Success Fee: Receive a competitive bonus or commission on closed investment rounds.
Future Salary: Eligible for a formal salary once Afriquanna achieves key funding or revenue milestones.
Share Purchase: We welcome and encourage the purchase of additional shares on favorable terms, enabling you to deepen your stake and commitment.

Proven track record in early-stage fundraising, especially in AI, blockchain, Web3, or microservices sectors.
Strong network of investors active in African innovation and frontier technologies.
Deep understanding of startup financing, deal structures, and investor relations.
Exceptional ability to tell our story compellingly and clearly to investors.
Strategic thinker, professional, and able to thrive in a stealth-mode, high-growth startup.
