Job Summary
To coordinate the Special Educational Needs (SEN) team, ensuring high-quality support and provision for students with SEN, and promoting inclusive practices across the school. The SENCO will play a pivotal role in ensuring the department is well coordinated and all students with special education needs receive the support the need to achieve their full potential.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- A strong commitment to raising educational attainment for children and young people with SEND, including working with students directly and supporting other staff to do so.
- Leadership skills - to inspire and motivate other teachers, model good practice, and develop a whole school commitment to supporting pupils with SEND.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work or a discipline relevant to the role.
- The possession of a Master's in Special Education or Psychology will be an added advantage; so will further professional certification in the area of Special Educational Needs.
- Qualified educator with 7 years post-qualification experience is essential; with at least 3 years supervising SEN provision within a British school setting or clinical setting.
- At least 5 years experience of teaching and supporting students with SEND.
- Experience working with or within other organisations that support SEND pupils may also count e.g. working as a therapist, educational psychologist or with a health/social care provider.
- Experience in different settings and with pupils of different ages may be beneficial as the role cuts across Primary and Secondary provisions.
- Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices
Salary & Benefits: N360,000 - N420,000 Monthly Gross (point on scale determined by subject taught, skills, knowledge and experience). Benefits include Pension, HMO, Staff bus, and Performance Related Bonus.
Start Date: August/September 2025 (please note that the client is mindful of the need for appropriate notice if the successful candidate is currently employed).
