Job Position: Social Media Officer
Job Location: Isheri Magodo Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with overall marketing goals.
- Manage day-to-day posting and engagement across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
- Create engaging and original content (text, images, video, reels, carousels) tailored to each platform.
- Collaborate with graphic designers, content creators, and other departments for campaign execution.
- Monitor trends, hashtags, and platform changes to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Track performance using analytics tools and generate monthly performance reports (reach, engagement, growth, etc.).
- Manage and grow social media communities by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly.
- Plan and manage paid social media campaigns and monitor ad performance.
- Coordinate influencer collaborations, user-generated content, and brand partnerships.
- Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- 1 - 3 years of experience managing social media accounts for brands or agencies.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok, Canva, Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.).
- Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Creative thinking with the ability to design compelling, on-brand content.
- Analytical mindset with experience using social media insights and reporting tools.
- Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of social media advertising (Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads) is a plus.
- Video editing and basic graphic design skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite) are added advantages.
