Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Social Media Business Strategist located in Lagos, Nigeria. The Social Media Business Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing social media marketing strategies, communication plans, social media optimization (SMO), and content strategies to enhance InternSify's online presence and engagement with its audience.

A Social Media Business Strategist is a professional who develops and executes strategies to help businesses grow their online presence, engage their target audience, and drive sales or other key objectives through social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Create social media plans aligned with business goals
Define target audience and buyer personas
Choose the right platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)

Content Planning & Creation
Develop content calendars
Oversee or create engaging content (graphics, videos, copy)

Ensure brand consistency
Analytics & Optimization
Use tools (e.g., Meta Insights, Google Analytics, Sprout Social)
Track KPIs (reach, engagement, CTR, conversions)
Test and tweak strategies based on performance

Campaign Management
Plan and run paid ad campaigns
Collaborate with influencers or brand partners
Launch and monitor promotions or product drops

Community Engagement
Monitor comments and messages
Build a loyal following through engagement
Manage crisis or negative PR situations tactfully

Qualifications
Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) skills
Communication skills
Experience in developing content strategies for social media
Strong understanding of various social media platforms and trends
Ability to analyze social media data and optimize strategies
Experience in the education or tech industry is a plus
