Reports to: Business Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
Our client is an EPCI procurement-focused company supporting IOCs/NOCs and complex projects. We’re hiring a Senior Procurement Specialist to own end-to-end sourcing, negotiation, and contract delivery across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and services categories—driving cost, quality, and delivery performance.
What You’ll Do
- Lead strategic sourcing for CAPEX/OPEX categories: develop sourcing strategies, supplier panels, and frame agreements.
- Run compliant RFx cycles (RFQ/RFP/ITT): specs alignment, bid/tender packs, clarifications, and evaluations (technical/commercial).
- Negotiate pricing, T&Cs, INCOTERMS, warranties, and payment milestones to optimise TCO and cash flow.
- Draft/execute POs, MSAs, and contract amendments; ensure internal approvals and proper documentation.
- Manage OEM/distributor relationships; qualify and onboard vendors in line with NCDMB/Nigerian Content requirements.
- Partner with Engineering, Projects, Finance, and Logistics on demand planning, inspection, QA/QC, and delivery.
- Oversee importation compliance (Form M, PAAR, HS Codes, SONCAP), freight, and customs coordination with the logistics team.
- Track order progress, resolve exceptions, and expedite critical path items to meet project schedules.
- Use Ariba/SAP/Oracle (or similar) and NipeX for sourcing, tendering, and reporting.
- Enforce procurement ethics, QHSE standards, and audit readiness. Coach junior officers and standardise SOPs across categories.
What You’ll Bring
- 3 -5years procurement experience in Oil & Gas/EPCI or industrial projects, with proven category ownership.
- Strong RFx, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation expertise; comfortable with INCOTERMS and commercial risk.
- Working knowledge of Nigerian Content guidelines (NCDMB) and industry compliance.
- Hands-on with ERPs/e-sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, SAP, Oracle) and NipeX; advanced Excel skills. Excellent stakeholder management, supplier development, and data-driven decision making.
How Success Will Be Measured (KPIs)
- Cost savings/avoidance (% of addressable spend).
- RFx-to-PO cycle time & PR-to-PO lead time.
- On-time, in-full (OTIF) supplier delivery %.
- Contract coverage & compliance score (audit-ready files).
- Supplier quality (rejections/NCs) and NCR closure time. Stakeholder satisfaction (quarterly feedback).
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation, performance bonus, Paid Training, Leave allowance, HMO & pension.
- Exposure to OEMs and major EPCI projects; fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Learning & certification support. Clear path to Category Lead/Procurement Manager.
