Job Description/Requirements
DelonJobs is seeking to hire Senior OTC Traderfor a Financial Company in Lagos, Nigeria.
The ideal candidate will lead OTC FX trading across multiple currencies and markets, ensuring efficient execution, compliance, and profitability. The role focuses on FX dealing for remittances, liquidity management, and strategic alignment with IMTO operations.
Interested candidates must possess minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field with at least 5-8 years of experience in FX trading or OTC markets, preferably within an IMTO or a bank in Nigeria.
Monthly net salary is between N455,000 - N715,000.

Key Responsibilities:
- Trading Execution & Strategy
- Execute OTC FX trades (USD/NGN, GBP/NGN, EUR/NGN) within set limits.
- Manage spot and forward transactions, optimize pricing, and develop trading strategies.
- Monitor market trends and maintain accurate trading records.
- Market Intelligence & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with BDCs, banks, and counterparties.
- Negotiate rates and source competitive FX pricing.
- Provide real-time market insights to management.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure regulatory compliance with CBN and FX trading policies.
- Monitor exposures and report suspicious activity.
- Coordinate with compliance and audit teams.
- Reporting & Reconciliation
- Prepare regular reports on FX activities.
- Support account reconciliation and ensure timely settlements.
- Team Support & Supervision
- Mentor junior traders and support SOP development. Collaborate with finance, operations, and compliance teams to improve workflows.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CIS).
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in FX trading or OTC markets, preferably within an IMTO or a bank in Nigeria.
- Strong understanding of Nigeria's FX regulatory framework, especially CBN guidelines.
- Ability to interpret economic data, yield curves, and pricing trends.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian OTC market, including FMDQ trading platforms, CBN regulations, and interbank market dynamics.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Reuters, or FMDQ Q-ex, and Excel-based trading models. Understanding of position limits, VaR (Value at Risk), duration, and liquidity risk.
