Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol company premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, theft, or security breaches.
- Enforce security protocols and procedures to protect company assets, data, and personnel.
- Control access to company facilities by verifying the identity of employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems, reporting any suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents and take appropriate actions.
- Conduct routine security inspections and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Assist in investigations related to security breaches or policy violations.
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, visitor logs, and daily security reports.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when necessary.
- Educate employees on security best practices and company safety policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a security officer, security guard, or related role.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Security certifications or professional training in security operations is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with security procedures, surveillance systems, and access control measures.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and respond effectively to security threats.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of emergency response and first aid procedures is an advantage.
- Integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Relevant security certifications or training is a plus.
