JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Science Teacher with strong skills in Mathematics to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging science lessons, supporting students in mathematics, and fostering a love for inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Science (Basic Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics as applicable).
- Provide additional support and teaching in Mathematics where required.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Nigerian curriculum (and Cambridge/International curriculum if applicable).
- Assess and monitor students’ progress through tests, assignments, and examinations.
- Encourage and support students in science projects, experiments, and mathematics problem-solving.
- Integrate technology and hands-on activities to make learning interactive and practical.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and continuous professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- Teaching qualification (TRCN certification is an added advantage).
- Proven experience teaching Science and Mathematics at primary or secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian curriculum (experience with Cambridge/International curriculum is a plus).
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Passionate about teaching, mentoring, and inspiring young learners.
