Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis Consultant to manage and optimize our SAP system landscape, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role involves system administration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Implementation Phase

• Requirement Gathering and Analysis : Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for SAP implementation.
• Feasibility Studies : Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of the proposed SAP solutions, considering technical, operational, and financial aspects.
• Solution Design and Planning : Develop a detailed blueprint for the SAP system configuration, including architecture, data models, and workflows, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Implementation Phase

• System Installation and Configuration : Install and configure SAP systems, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and Solution Manager, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• System Customization : Customize SAP modules to meet specific business requirements, including setting up modules, defining business processes, and customizing user interfaces.
• Data Migration and Integration : Plan and execute data migration strategies, transferring data from legacy systems to SAP, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• User Training and Support : Develop training materials and conduct workshops to ensure end-users are proficient in using the new SAP system.
• Testing and Quality Assurance : Develop and execute test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the system functions as intended.

Post-Implementation Phase

• System Monitoring and Optimization : Monitor system performance, perform capacity planning, and implement tuning strategies to optimize SAP environments.
• Backup and Recovery : Design and manage disaster recovery plans; perform regular backups and restore processes to ensure data integrity.
• Documentation and Compliance : Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
  

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience : Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, with a focus on implementation projects.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in SAP system installations, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis components, including SAP HANA, NetWeaver, and Solution Manager.
• Strong experience with databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server), operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Certifications : SAP certification in Basis or HANA administration is preferred.
• Additional Skills :
• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP BW, and integration technologies.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.
