We are seeking a results-driven Relationship Manager with proven success in the financial industry, specifically in selling banking products such as savings, investment, and other wealth management offerings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing a portfolio of high-value individual and corporate clients, promoting and selling a diverse range of banking products, including savings, investments, loans, and other financial solutions. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth through proactive sales and exceptional client service.
What You’ll Do:
1. Client Acquisition & Growth:
i. Actively identify, prospect, and acquire new high-net-worth individuals or corporate clients.
ii. Develop and implement strategies to expand the existing client base and increase market share.
iii. Cross-sell and up-sell banking products, including savings investments, and lending.
2. Relationship Management:
i. Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted financial advisor.
ii. Understand clients' financial goals; needs, and risk profiles to offer tailored and appropriate solutions.
iii. Provide proactive and personalized service, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
iv. Conduct regular reviews of client portfolios and financial situations, recommending adjustments as needed.
3. Sales & Performance:
i. Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue objectives for various products.
ii. Prepare and present compelling proposals to prospective and existing clients.
iii. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities.
iv. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and sales activities.
4. Compliance & Risk Management:
i. Ensure all sales activities and client interactions comply with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
ii. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with client accounts and transactions.
iii. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
What We Expect:
1. 5-8 years of progressive experience as a Relationship Manager or in a similar client-facing sales role within the banking or financial services industry.
2. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets for banking products (savings, investments, loans, etc.).
3. Demonstrated ability to identify leads, prospect, negotiate, and close deals.
4. In-depth understanding of a wide range of banking products, including savings, investments, and lending solutions.
5. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with a focus on building rapport and trust.
6. Ability to assess client needs and provide suitable financial advice.
7. Solid understanding of the Nigerian financial market, economic trends, and regulatory environment.
8. Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve targets and deliver results.
9. Ability to analyze financial data and client information.
10. Proactive approach to identifying and resolving client issues.
11. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
Remuneration: Competitive Base Salary + Commission.
