Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team and contribute to the successful planning, budgeting, and execution of our real estate developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Provide accurate cost projections and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Coordinate the procurement process for materials and services, ensuring cost
effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Evaluate bids and proposals, negotiate prices, and recommend contractors and suppliers.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure they remain within budget.
- Analyze and report on variations between actual and budgeted costs.
- Implement cost-saving measures and value engineering techniques.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and validate payment claims.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects.
- Provide financial advice and insights to support decision-making.
- Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare tender documentation, including bills of quantities, schedules, and specifications.
- Provide cost analysis and recommendations for future projects.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to
ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Attend project meetings and provide input on financial and contractual matters.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in contract management and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
