Job Description:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented QAQC Welding Inspector to oversee welding activities and ensure all work complies with applicable standards, codes, and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of welding processes, inspection techniques, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual inspections and NDT (RT, UT, PT, MT) of welds to ensure quality and compliance.
- Verify and review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTR).
- Monitor welding activities and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Identify and document defects; coordinate with welding teams for corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing, and quality documentation.
- Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and project teams during audits and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Engineering or related field.-BSC or HND
- 3–5 years relevant experience in welding inspection.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI, CSWIP, or equivalent) is required.
- Knowledge of welding symbols, codes, and procedures.
- Experience in oil & gas, fabrication, or heavy industrial projects is preferred
