The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for conducting objective, systematic audits of the Quality Control (QC) department within the manufacturing environment. He/ She will be reporting to the Head of Audit, the QA Auditor evaluates the effectiveness, consistency, and compliance of QC operations with internal policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements such as HACCP and GMP. The role ensures that the QC function supports overall product quality, minimizes food safety risk, and contributes to continuous improvement in production practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and conduct audits of the Quality Control department and food testing activities as per the internal audit schedule.
· Review QC documentation including microbial test results, sample logs, calibration records, and batch inspection reports.
· Evaluate QC procedures to verify adherence to SOPs, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), HACCP, and GMP standards.
· Identify non-conformities and risks in QC operations and communicate findings to the Head of Audit.
· Recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and follow up on implementation and effectiveness.
· Ensure data integrity and traceability in QC testing and documentation.
· Verify QC staff competency through training record reviews and procedure compliance.
· Collaborate with QA and QC departments to align audit findings with food safety improvement initiatives.
· Prepare detailed audit reports and assist in maintaining the internal audit dashboard.
· Support external audits (e.g., NAFDAC, ISO, customer audits) with internal compliance evidence.
· Assist the Head of Audit in risk-based audit planning and improvement of audit tools and techniques.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
· 3–5 years of quality assurance or audit experience in the food manufacturing industry.
· Strong experience auditing food safety practices and laboratory operations.
Required Skills & Competencies:
· - In-depth understanding of food QC methodologies and microbiological testing.
· - Excellent attention to detail and compliance verification.
· - Strong written and verbal communication, including audit reporting.
· - Good knowledge of food safety management systems (FSMS).
· - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit software tools.
· - Ability to manage multiple audits with integrity and independence.
Working Conditions:
- On-site role within factory and lab environments.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
- May involve extended hours or weekend work during audit periods.
- Frequent travel to supplier sites or other warehouses may be required.

Pay: ₦170,000.00 - ₦200,000.00 per month
