Role Summary:
Alpha Global is seeking a meticulous QA Automation Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts. You will ensure software quality and reliability through effective automation strategies, working closely with development teams to catch defects early and maintain high product standards in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
-Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and performance issues.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Develop and maintain test data and test environments to support automation efforts.
- Perform root cause analysis of failures and communicate results to developers.
- Advocate for best practices in software quality and continuous testing.
- Monitor and improve test coverage and automation efficiency.
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups as an active Agile team member.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA automation engineering.
- Strong experience in automated testing tools and frameworks.
Certifications (Preferred):
- ISTQB Certified Tester – Advanced Level
- Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
- Selenium Certification
Technical Skills:
Automation Tools: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Appium, Playwright
Programming Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, C# Test
Frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, Mocha, PyTest
CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI
Version Control: Git, GitHub, Bitbucket
Other: API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured), performance testing basics
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Knowledge of mobile testing automation.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration in remote teams.
- Detail-oriented with a quality-first mindset.
