Job Summary
The Project Engineer at Andster Engineering is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects from initiation through to completion. This role ensures that all technical aspects of each project are delivered effectively, on schedule, and within budget, while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Acting as a central point of contact, the Project Engineer will interface with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all engineering and technical activities associated with assigned projects.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, detailed engineering designs, and technical documentation.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with procurement, construction, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, designs, and documentation submitted by contractors and consultants.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all engineering work adheres to relevant codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Provide timely updates and progress reports to management and project stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, bids, and presentations as required.
- Resolve technical challenges and deliver practical, innovative engineering solutions.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and commissioning activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant project engineering experience, preferably within the oil & gas, power, or construction sectors.
- Professional certifications or affiliations (e.g., COREN, PMP) are considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in engineering and project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to dynamic project environments.
