Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Pharmacy Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy retail outlet in Port Harcourt. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth store operations, excellent customer service, inventory management, and team leadership. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring residency in Port Harcourt.
Qualifications
- Daily Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of daily pharmacy retail operations including opening/closing procedures, staff scheduling, and operational efficiency
- Inventory Management: Manage stock levels, coordinate with suppliers, oversee product ordering, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate pharmacy staff to deliver exceptional customer service
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure high standards of customer care and resolve customer complaints effectively
- Sales & Revenue Management: Drive sales targets, implement promotional strategies, and monitor financial performance
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
- Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management
- Quality Assurance: Maintain product quality standards and proper handling of pharmaceutical products
What We're Looking For:
Essential Requirements:
- Management Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a manager in a retail outlet
- Location: Must be a resident of Port Harcourt or willing to relocate
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate retail teams
- Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or FMCG retail
- Strong numerical and analytical skills for inventory and sales management
- Excellent communication skills in English and local languages
- Computer literacy (MS Office, basic retail software)
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and loss prevention
