NOC IP Engineer

We are sourcing for an NOC IP Engineer for our client in the telecommunication industry at Ikoyi, Lagos .

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all IP related connections e.g.PE-P,CE-PE, NNI and customer services are proactively monitored for timely interventions and fault resolution.
• Ensure that all motoring tools e.g. Solar Wind, PRTG and RDPet care working optimally by liaising with the OEM to schedule version, license upgrades.
• Produce service relocation design for existing links and ensure implementation and testing is completed timely. This includes design for IPAccess ,BGP transit and MPLS VPNs on layer 2 and 3and for APN services.
• Produce weekly/ monthly reports of the utilization/capacity of the MPLS network. This will also include tracking of repeated faults outages on the MPLS network.
• Check, validate and accept all IP services into the NOC by ensuring that the services are delivered according to design and must have met the acceptance requirement of the NOC.
• Configures switches, routers and ensures solutions are fully documented as part of day today business operation.
• Liaises with service providers to validate redesign and ensures they are fit for purpose.
• Supports the sales teams in responding to new tenders and bid son IP specific designs.
• Performs service migration activities of IP customers on request
• 3 years of IP Network experience preferably in the Telecommunication industry
• Excellent organizational, communication skills, and attention to detail

Education & Skills

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• With at least 3years’experience in an area of IP & Internet network–Operation
• Bachelor of Engineering Degree
• Sound knowledge of Carrier & Enterprise Network-Planning & Operations  Analytical and Presentation skills
• Strategic negotiation skills
• At least three years’ experience of IP services on Ciscoor Juniper equipment.
• Excellent IP. MPLS and routing knowledge in an ISP environment.
• Excellent Cisco hardware and IOS knowledge.
• General knowledge of telecom industry and standards
• Excellent English language skills a must, other languages an advantage
• Minimum Qualification of CCNP Enterprise certification or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of Solar wind and PRTG tool Operation and maintenance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦200,000.00 - ₦250,000.00 per month
