Role Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Mobile Developer with at least 3 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in React Native for Android and Flutter for iOS, and capable of building high-performance, scalable, and maintainable apps that serve a growing user base. This is an in-office role based in Abuja, and you’ll work closely with our product, design, and backend teams to deliver a seamless mobile experience to our cooperative members and administrators.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Akilaah’s mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using React Native and Flutter.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Optimize application performance and ensure compatibility across a wide range of devices.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to bring mockups and wireframes to life.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and QA processes.
• Manage the deployment of apps to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and other developers to define app features and priorities.
Stay up to date with the latest mobile development trends and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in mobile development.
• Proficient in React Native (Android) and Flutter (iOS).
• Demonstrable experience with building and deploying apps to the Play Store and App Store.
• Strong knowledge of mobile development lifecycles, debugging tools, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, version control systems (Git), and mobile security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Nice to Have

• Experience working on fintech or cooperative-related platforms.
• Familiarity with Firebase, Push Notifications, and mobile analytics tools.
Experience with offline-first app design and handling limited connectivity scenarios.
