Frutta, a leading manufacturing company based in Lagos, is seeking a machine operators. The Machine operators is responsible for juice processing in line with quality and production standards. Successful candidates must be able to operate the following machines - PAKONA Machine, Juice Filler Machine, NIMCO Machine, Labeller Machine, Shrink Wrapping Machine and Blow Mold Machine
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Equipment Operation:
- Set up, operate, and monitor: Bottle fillers & cappers, Labelling machines, Carton packaging system, Conveyor belts
- Perform minor adjustments to optimize machine performance
2. Quality Control:
- Conduct hourly quality checks (fill levels, seal integrity, labeling accuracy)
- Remove defective products from the line
- Report quality issues to supervisors immediately
3. Maintenance & Cleaning:
- Perform basic troubleshooting for minor jams/malfunctions
- Complete pre-shift equipment inspections
- Follow CIP (Clean-in-Place) procedures after each run
4. Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all GMP and food safety protocols
- Wear required PPE (hairnets, gloves, safety shoes)
- Participate in monthly safety training
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree. Relevant technical certifications and training are an added advantage.
Work Experience:
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- 3+ years operating machinery in FMCG/beverage/food production
- Experience with: Rotary filling machines, Blow molders (PET bottles), Date coding equipment
Technical requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of Juice processing and quality control.
- Must be able to independently conduct CIP, water treatment and batch mixing.
