We’re hiring Line Cooks who are passionate about food, love working in a clean and efficient station, and are ready to grow within a team that values consistency, flavor, and professionalism.
Role Summary
As a Line Cook, you’ll be assigned to a specific station in the kitchen whether it’s grill, sauté, prep, fry, plating, or pantry. You’ll be responsible for prepping your items, cooking during service, plating dishes correctly, and keeping your station clean and stocked.
You’ll work under the supervision of the Sous Chef and Head Chef, and must be able to move quickly without compromising quality.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Execution
- Prepare ingredients for assigned menu items — from slicing and marinating to portioning and par-cooking
- Execute dishes during service with consistency and timing
- Follow all recipes, plating guides, and portion controls provided by the Head Chef
- Ensure your station is fully stocked before and during service
Kitchen Organization & Cleanliness
- Keep your station clean, sanitized, and organized at all times
- Label, store, and rotate all food items correctly
- Support end-of-day and deep cleaning routines
- Participate in daily cleaning schedules and checklist
Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with fellow line cooks, kitchen assistants, and chefs to keep service flowing smoothly
- Call out when you’re running low on items or need support during rush periods
- Be open to feedback, willing to learn, and ready to improve each day
Minimum Requirements
- 1–2 years experience working in a kitchen (restaurant, café, hotel, or catering)
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques, food handling, and knife skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
- Punctual, clean, and respectful
- Familiar with hygiene standards and safe kitchen practices
Bonus Points
- Familiar with Afro-fusion or continental cuisine
- Can follow prep lists and station guides without needing constant supervision
- Shows initiative and a willingness to grow into a senior role
