Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Kitchen Cook to join our culinary team. As a Kitchen Cook at Tasty Bowls, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Tasty Bowls’ recipes and quality standards
- Ensure timely preparation of meals during service hours
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and kitchen area
- Assist in food preparation for daily operations and special events
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures
- Monitor food stock and communicate low inventory to management
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen flow
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations
- Assist in receiving and properly storing deliveries
- Ensure food portions are consistent and presentable
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role
- Knowledge of African and Continental cuisines is a strong advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and passion for food presentation
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- A team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
Work Schedule
- Must be flexible to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as needed
- Shifts may vary depending on service demands
