Mobile app Developer – Remote (Nigeria-Based) | Amqey Technologies Ltd.

About Us

Amqey is a fast-growing super app startup delivering food, fintech, and everyday convenience to underserved cities in Nigeria and beyond. We're building a platform to rival the best — — designed for real user needs. We're now hiring a Junior Developer who’s serious about performance, usability, and clean backend logic.

What You’ll Do

Support the development of smooth, beautiful user experiences on Flutter or React Native

Help implement and scale API architecture for multiple services (logistics, finance, food, and more)

Assist in managing databases, CRUD operations, and service-layer logic

Debug and fix issues in staging/production environments

Work closely with senior engineers and CTA. advisors to improve app performance and deployment.

What We’re Looking For

Solid experience with JavaScript, Flutter, or React Native

Understanding of how REST APIs work (bonus for GraphQL awareness)

Familiarity with SQL/noSQL databases (Firebase, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)

Knowledge of version control (Git) and how to write clean, testable code

Good logic, curiosity, and the ability to ask the right technical questions

Based in Nigeria; able to work independently and communicate clearly

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

Laravel/PHP experience or exposure to backend MVC frameworks

Understanding of system performance, memory use, and app responsiveness

Worked on multi-service or real-time applications

Comfortable reading or testing APIs in Postman or Swagger
