Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to oversee and manage the technology infrastructure and digital operations of our telecoms company. The ideal candidate will ensure the security, scalability, and efficiency of IT systems while aligning technology solutions with business goals. You will lead the IT team and collaborate with other departments to support the seamless operation of telecom services.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Support & Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair laptops, desktops, and printers (hardware/software).
- Provide technical support for office staff on-site or remotely.
- Set up and configure user devices and ensure smooth onboarding.
Systems & Applications
- Install, maintain, and support Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Manage email systems (Microsoft 365, Gmail for Business, or similar).
- Monitor software licenses and ensure systems are up to date.
Network & Infrastructure
- Maintain and troubleshoot office networks (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).
- Ensure reliable internet and system performance.
- Support file sharing, access control, and local server/cloud environments.
Security & Backup
- Implement basic cybersecurity measures (antivirus, firewalls, secure access).
- Manage data backups and recovery procedures.
- Monitor for and respond to potential IT security issues.
IT Procurement & Inventory
- Manage IT hardware and software inventory.
- Coordinate purchases and relationships with IT vendors.
Policy & Documentation
- Create and maintain IT policies and procedures.
- Provide basic IT training and documentation for users.
Requirements:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
o Minimum of 4 years experience in IT management.
o Proven experience managing large IT projects, teams, and budgets.
o Certifications such as CCNP, CISSP are highly desirable.
o Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of:
o Laptop and printer repair/troubleshooting
o Microsoft Office suite (especially Outlook, Excel, Word)
o Email setup and troubleshooting (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
o Basic networking and Windows OS administration
o Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦250,000.00 - ₦300,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Lagos: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
