About the Role
Are you passionate about transforming agriculture and improving the lives of smallholder farmers? Our client is at a pivotal point in their expansion journey, and they are seeking a visionary Impact and Partnerships Director to lead new product research, strategic partnerships, field trials, and long-term impact evaluation. This role will play a critical part in scaling high-impact agricultural programs across Northern and Central Nigeria, with a strong focus on youth and women farmer inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Innovation:
- Lead the development and execution of a robust innovation, research, and partnership strategy to drive a 5x expansion in Nigeria operations.
- Design and implement new agricultural products and services to increase farmer profitability and long-term impact.
- Leadership & Program Management:
- Manage and mentor high-performing Innovation & Research teams focused on inclusive programming for youth and women farmers.
- Shift impact measurement from short-term gains to long-term sustainability and resilience metrics.
- Partnership Development:
- Build and manage relationships with government agencies, commercial entities, and donor organizations.
- Represent the organization in external engagements to secure funding, foster collaboration, and influence agricultural policy.
- Operational & Financial Oversight:
- Oversee program budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure operational excellence.
- Collaborate with global and local teams to support fundraising and business development efforts.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in agribusiness, consulting, NGO leadership, or rural development.
- Minimum 2 years in senior management with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver results.
- Strong experience in R&D, field trials, and impact evaluation within agriculture or rural programming.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning and program execution in fast-paced environments.
- Proficient in building partnerships with stakeholders across government, private, and donor sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agriculture, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; English fluency required.
