ICT Teacher

JOB PURPOSE

To deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in ICT, inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential and fostering a love of learning. To ensure that the school’s computer network is functional at all times and all ICT users are fully supported at all times.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The ICT teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing ICT lessons, developing pupils' knowledge, skills, and understanding.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, setting high expectations and challenging students to achieve their best
• Set and mark assignments, assessments, and exams, providing constructive feedback
• Monitor pupil progress, identifying areas for improvement and adapting teaching strategies
• Develop and implement curriculum plans, schemes of work, and departmental policies
• Participate in departmental meetings, sharing best practices and contributing to faculty development
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and events
• Stay up-to-date with subject developments and teaching methodologies

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Qualified Teacher Status/TRCN
• Bachelor's degree in ICT, or related field
• Postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE)
• Experience teaching ICT in a British school or similar educational setting
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs

WORKING HOURS

Monday through Friday from 7.20am to 4:00pm, work on selected Saturdays may be required to cover staff training and community outreach.
