Job Description/Requirements
Summary
As the Human Resources Officer, you will be instrumental in supporting and executing the human resources strategy across the Group Office and its subsidiaries. Your responsibilities will include employee recruitment, compensation, training and development, occupational safety and health, compliance management, and employee relations. You will also oversee labor relations, employee benefits, onboarding, performance evaluation, organizational development, career planning, and employee engagement. Additionally, you will manage HR information systems (HRIS) and ensure alignment of HR practices with the overall business objectives of the organization.
Responsibilities
Strategic HR Alignment: Assist in developing and executing a comprehensive people management strategy for the Group, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business strategy and key objectives.
Performance Management: Support the effective utilization of the Group’s Performance Management framework to assess staff performance against established metrics, identifying and addressing critical development needs across the Group and subsidiaries.
KPI Development: Collaborate with Group Heads, subsidiaries, and Business Units to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various job roles, and agree on measurable annual performance targets.
Learning and Development: Oversee the administration of the Group’s Learning and Development programs, ensuring they comply with company policies and governmental regulations.
Compensation Management: Work with Heads to define and maintain a competitive, merit-based compensation system that supports the company’s strategy to attract and retain top talent.
Talent Management: Coordinate and ensure the availability of talent across the Group businesses at all times, addressing current and future personnel needs.
Compensation and Benefits: Plan and direct programs related to compensation and benefits, including policy development, implementation, communication, and administration of these programs.
Payroll Administration: Ensure timely and effective administration of monthly payroll and statutory remittances, including pensions, NHF, taxes, and others.
Recruitment Strategy: Support the review of recruitment processes and work with team members to develop a recruitment strategy that enhances the employer brand.
Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Partner with hiring managers across the Group to identify current and future personnel needs, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Employee Engagement: Conduct various employee welfare and engagement initiatives, ensuring effective communication and relations with employees.
Other Responsibilities: Undertake any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Group’s leadership.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
HR certifications such as CIPM, SHRM, or PHR are an added advantage.
5 to 7 years of relevant HR experience across core HR functions (recruitment, performance management, employee relations, learning & development, etc.).
Prior experience working in a structured corporate environment or similar industry.
Skills
Solid understanding of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office tools.
