Frutta, a leading manufacturing company based in Lagos, is seeking a Head, Quality Control. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement in product safety, workplace conditions, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement site-level QSC strategy in line with company goals.
- Maintain product quality standards and manage FSSC, ISO, and NAFDAC compliance.
- Oversee lab operations, customer complaints, and non-conformance resolution.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across the plant.
- Lead internal and external audits, and serve as primary liaison for regulators.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, and hygiene practices.
Education:
- MSc or BSc in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science
Certifications:
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
- Lead Auditor – FSSC 22000 preferred
Experience:
- 10–12 years in QSE or QA roles within FMCG
- Minimum 5 years in beverage manufacturing
- Experience in managing recalls, safety transformation, and regulatory engagement
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of HACCP, FMEA, and food safety risk assessment
- Proficient in QSE software (Intelex, Sphera, SAP-QM)
- Familiar with beverage processing, CIP, and batch mixing operations
