Job Title: Head, Internal Control/Compliance

Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Head of Internal Control/Compliance to ensure Zitra's compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets, enhance operational efficiency, and mitigate compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain internal control framework
- Perform risk assessments and control evaluations
- Design and test controls related to financial reporting and operations
- Investigate control weaknesses and recommend remediation plans
- Conduct internal audits and support external/internal auditors
- Review disbursed loan documentation and ensure compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with business and process owners to implement remediation efforts
Compliance Responsibilities:
- Define and implement compliance requirements across the organization
- Develop annual compliance work plan
- Provide strategic direction to management team on compliance
- Interact with regulators on compliance issues
- Coordinate internal compliance review and monitoring activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law, Finance, Business Management, Economics, or related field
- Professional qualification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA)
- FRM is an added advantage
- 3-5 years proven experience in Internal Control/Compliance role
- Minimum of 1 year managing a team
- Knowledge of SEC rules, Investment Act, and local auditing compliance laws
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Net Budget: ₦450,000 - ₦500,000
