We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer who can help us push the limits of embedded systems, power control, and smart energy solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, prototype, and test embedded hardware systems (microcontrollers, sensors, relays, power interfaces)
- Develop and iterate PCB schematics and layouts for energy management and IoT devices
- Integrate and troubleshoot communication protocols (SPI, I²C, MODBUS RS485, CAN, MQTT, etc.)
- Design power electronics circuits, including DC-DC converters, current sensing, protection systems, and load control
- Optimize hardware for energy efficiency, thermal performance, and reliability in off-grid solar environments
- Collaborate with firmware and product teams to ensure seamless hardware–software integration
- Document hardware designs, BOMs, testing procedures, and hardware-software interface specifications
- Support field testing, manufacturing, and deployment in real-world environments
Requirements
Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience with embedded systems: Arduino, ESP32, STM32, or Raspberry Pi
- Familiar with communication protocols: SPI, I²C, UART, MODBUS (RS485), CAN, WiFi, SIM/GPRS, LTE, Bluetooth, MQTT, HTTP
- Strong experience in power electronics:
- DC power system design (12V, 24V, 48V systems)
- Current sensing, protection circuitry, MOSFET/relay-based switching
- DC-DC converter design (Buck, Boost, etc.)
- Expertise in PCB design and schematic capture using tools like:
- Diptrace
- KiCad
- Autodesk Eagle
- (Bonus: EasyEDA, Proteus, or LTspice for simulation)
- Good grasp of electronics fundamentals: grounding, EMI/EMC considerations, thermal management
- Ability to debug and validate prototypes using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
