The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day administration of the Central Accounts Department, including work planning, staff training, development, and disciplinary matters. They will also be responsible for safeguarding the company’s assets and ensuring the consistent implementation and maintenance of all key business controls.

They will participate in the preparation and presentation of the budget for the company (e.g., Annual Budget, and Long Term Plan (LTP) per instructions from UAC House).

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounts
• Monitors the level of capital and revenue expenditure within the level of approval
• Attends to audit queries from both Internal auditors and external auditors and prepares responses as necessary for the Finance Manager.
• Monitors inputs into payroll for accuracy and correctness, and ensures prompt monthly payments of wages/salaries.
• • Advise Mill Management and Heads of Department on accounting procedures of the company and ensure strict compliance.
    

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting
• 6-8 years with at least 5 years of senior-level experience
Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
