POSITION: FINANCE MANAGER – ONLINE SPORTS BETTING COMPANY

Responsibilities:
- Preparation daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Support in the development of financial budgets and provide financial forecasts.
- Implement and manage financial management policies in compliance with established internal controls and accounting practice standards
- Ensure prompt reconciliation of all accounts between i-gaming Backoffice, payment gateways, banks and any other applicable 3rd party where necessary.
- Ensure timely reporting and remittance of taxes and other statutory payments to the relevant tax authorities such as the Lagos State Lottery and Gaming Authority, LIRS, etc.
- Ensure accounts assigned for payouts are regularly funded
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose corrective actions
- Manage cash flow, including cash forecasting, monitoring receivables and payables, and optimizing working capital
- Conduct internal audits and collaborate with external auditors during the audit process
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and policies to protect the company's financial assets and minimize exposure to financial risks
- The Finance Manager as a member of the executive management team directly reports to the MD/CEO and is directly supervised by the Group Finance Director.
Requirements
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields.
- Must be a member of a recognized professional accounting body such as ACCA, ICAN, ANAN, CIMA, etc.
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience
- Previous experience is Sports Betting is preferred
- Previous experience in tech payment systems is a plus
- Great understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Candidate must be tech-savvy and possess good working knowledge of i-gaming platforms and accounting software
