The position
The Field Recovery Agent is a key member of our consumer digital lending division, responsible for executing collections activities to minimize losses from active and delinquent accounts. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to recovery operations, excellent interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of the financial services industry. This role involves direct interaction with customers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining the company's reputation for integrity and customer service.
In this role, you will
- Conduct field visits to delinquent customers to discuss their accounts and negotiate repayment plans.
- Implement effective recovery strategies to achieve individual and team recovery targets.
- Engage with customers in a respectful and professional manner to understand their financial situation and provide suitable repayment solutions.
- Address customer queries and concerns, ensuring a positive and constructive interaction.
- Ensure all recovery activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, recovery efforts, and payment agreements.
- Report on recovery activities, including success rates and challenges encountered, to the Field Recovery Team Lead.
- Analyze delinquent accounts to identify patterns and suggest improvements in recovery strategies.
- Work closely with the Field Recovery Team Lead and other team members to align recovery efforts with overall business goals. Coordinate with other departments such as legal, risk management, and customer service to facilitate effective recovery operations.
We are looking for people with
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in field recovery operations or debt collection within the banking or finance industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations effectively.
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to persuade customers to adhere to repayment plans.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to loan recovery and debt collection.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Basic proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for loan management and recovery.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Resilience and the ability to handle stress and challenging situations. Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on maintaining positive customer relationships.
