Responsibilities
- Transport goods and personnel to designated locations in a safe and timely manner
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups, including mileage and fuel consumption
- Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding schedules and route changes
- Ensure that the vehicle is clean and well-maintained at all times
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo as necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service while delivering goods, addressing any client inquiries or concerns.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial setting
- Familiarity with GPS and other navigation tools
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages and perform loading/unloading tasks
- Knowledge of local and state driving regulations and compliance standards.
