Job Summary: The ideal candidate must be a dedicated and experienced Dialysis/Nephrology Nurse to join their healthcare team. They will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients with chronic kidney disease and those undergoing hemodialysis. This role requires clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient safety and well-being. You will work closely with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis assessments to monitor patient condition and treatment effectiveness
- Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot dialysis machines in compliance with manufacturer specifications and hospital protocols
- Ensure proper calibration, disinfection, and maintenance of dialysis equipment prior to each session
- Closely monitor patients during dialysis, responding quickly to complications, vital sign changes, or machine alarms
- Administer prescribed dialysis treatments and medications, ensuring accurate dosing and adherence to clinical orders
- Maintain strict infection control practices and enforce patient safety protocols at all times
- Educate patients and families on kidney disease management, post-treatment care, and dietary/lifestyle modifications
- Keep thorough and accurate documentation of patient conditions, treatment plans, machine performance, and outcomes
- Work collaboratively with nephrologists and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
- When no dialysis patients are scheduled, perform general nursing duties as needed to support overall unit operations and patient care
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in dialysis or nephrology nursing
- Registered Nurse with current Nephrology license to practice
- Hands-on experience with operating and maintaining dialysis machines (e.g., Gambro)
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
