Your Role: Contracts and Procurement Lead
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Contracts and Procurement Lead to joinour high-performing team. In this pivotal role, you will draft, review and negotiatecontracts to service providers and vendors, lead sourcing and procurement efforts forour field development operations, managing high-value contracts and fostering strongsupplier partnerships. Your expertise will directly support our field development goalswhile driving cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Management-
- Lead sourcing for exploration equipment, drilling services, seismic acquisition, andsupport services.
- Develop and execute category strategies for spend categories exceeding $10 millionannually.
- Negotiate complex contracts and service agreements with vendors and contractors.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, due diligence, and performance reviews.
Contract Administration & Risk Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle from initiation to closeout.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement supplier improvement plans.
- Lead supplier development initiatives to enhance capabilities.
- Manage dispute resolution and escalate issues when necessary.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with exploration, operations, and technical teams to align procurement withproject needs.
- Support procurement planning and execution for exploration projects.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and compliance teams on contract terms.
- Contribute procurement insights during project planning and budgeting.
REQUIREMENTS;
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- 8–10 years of procurement experience, with 5+ years in Oil & Gas E & P Sector.
- Proven success managing high value contracts and supplier relationships.
- Experience in upstream oil and gas or exploration operations preferred.
Technical Competencies-
- Deep understanding of oil & gas procurement practices and market dynamics.
- Proficiency in procurement software, contract management tools, and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with technical specifications for exploration equipment and services.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics.
